Kuelap – The Last Fortress of the Chachapoyas

It took us three days to travel down from Vilcabamba in Ecuador to the mountain town of Chachapoyas in Northern Peru famed for Kuelap, the mountain top fortress of the Chachapoya civilisation.

Inca Trails Above Cusco

Our plan for today is to follow the old Inca pathways from Tambo Machay to Sacsayhuaman  to visit the many Inca sites in the hills just above Cusco.
