Iguazu Falls – Water, water everywhere
Surely one of the most impressive sights in South America? Eleanor Roosevelt commented upon her first sight of Iguazu, “poor Niagara”. I can see what she meant.
Salar de Uyuni – Day Four
We get up at 5.00 am and leave the Salt Hotel to drive out on to the salt flats just as the night sky, almost imperceptibly, starts to change colour.

After another very cold night ( -18c) another early start as we head off to the Piedra de Arbol a “forest” of stone carved into some impossible shapes by the desert wind and ice.

We wake early, partly because of the cold and the altitude but mainly because at 5.30am, some lunatic started playing Amazing Grace over the village public address system!
