The Bones of Lima..

It may seem a little macabre to want to visit the cellars of a monastery to view piles of bones in open mass graves.

This must be one of the most spectacular day hikes in the Cordillera Blanca.

We are now officially resident in The Andes and are staying at The Lazy Dog Inn at an altitude of 3600m above sea level.

Leaving on a long trip such as this is always a case of mixed emotions, excitement, anticipation of the unknown etc.

Pisac is just one hour by bus from Cusco and is renowned for two things; its Sunday market and its iconic ruins.
